Udon*

Hey, guys! today, I would introduce my hometwon!

Look at this picture! can you guess what it is !?

yeah, this is chocolate shaped Mt. Fuji !! ;)

By the way, I am from Yamanashi!

Do you know FujiQ highland? That is a amusement park! It is located in my hometown!!!

My hometown is famous for Udon bacause there are so many Udon shops, like more than 50!!

See, here is Udon shop map!! Every Udon shop has different taste!

This picture is from one of my favorite Udon shop, Genji!

It looks good, huh? :D I LOVE this!!! Name of my place is Fujiyoshida, so we call those Udon "Yoshida no Udon(Udon of Yoshida)"

The feature of Yoshida no Udon is Noodle!! It is very chewy!! I know most Udon that you guys know is not chewy but my place's are!! :D so, I got used to eat chewy Udon....When I ear udon in Chiba or Tokyo, any other places, I sometimes feel something is missing.....hahaha

The soup is based on soy souce and soybean paste! I think this is kind of traditional soup for Udon. sometimes, they put onions in soup to make taste good! It is really good! xD

They usually put boiled cabbage, horse meat, deep fried bean curd and soft seaweed on the top!

You can oder some additional topping like burdock and tempura and so on. It depends on Udon shops! also, the price is very reasonable! Most Udons are 350~400yen!! It is very kind for your wallet, isn't it?? That's why people live in my hometown often go to Udon shop then the number of Udon shop has increased. Oh, when you eat udon, I would recommend you to put spice!! This way is pretty common! This spice based on red pepper and then put sesame and japanese pepper tree. When i eat Udon, I always put it into udon...it's very delicious!!!

If you come visit FujiQ highland, please go to Udon shop!! I hope you like it! ;)

Finally, I will show you this picture. This is my hometwon in spring!! :)

aaaah, i miss my sweet home there......!! Hahahah well, guys have a niceday~~~~!!

I returned my sweet home during golden week! I enjoyed holiday with my family!
I visited my friend's house. Actually my friend was not there because she lives in America.
She is a daughter of best friend of my mother. When I visited her house, we cooked Gyoza (fried pork & vegetable dumplings)

so, I would like to introduce how to cook "fried pork & vegeable dumplings" !!

*Ingredients

・dumpling wrappers 30
・pork minced meat 100g
・cabbage 3 slices
・leek 100g
・solt and pepper
・sesame oil
・water

First you have to wash your hands!!!!! :D

well, let's cook~♪”

1. cut the leek and cabbage into small piece and then drain off water. (A)

2. put pork minced meat and (A) into a bowl. Knead them with your hands until it become sticky! Put solt, pepper and sesame oil. (B) *I do not know if other family put sesame oil when they cook gyoza. My family always does because it helps the teste good :D)

3. Put (B) on dumpling wrapper. Flod in a half and pinch a fold into the edge and wrap up. Put water on the edge. It helps sticking together between fold and fold. (C)

4. put oil on hot plate and (C). It's like that picture! Fried until it begins to brown. After that put the water to steam it.

well done!

Eat with soy sause and vinegar and if you like, add the spicy oil used to season Chinese food(layou) !! *Be careful when you eat because it's very hot!! :D

when you have party, gyoza is gonna be good food!! It's not that difficult...

why don't you cook it? ;)
